Thunderstorm warning for parts of Penang, Kedah, Perak, Pahang and Johor until 1pm
KUALA LUMPUR, May 18 — Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected to hit five states until 1pm today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
In a statement, MetMalaysia said the weather conditions are expected to affect Penang as well as Kedah, involving Yan, Kuala Muda, Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu.
The other states expected to be affected are Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak and Kuala Kangsar), Pahang (Rompin) and Johor (Batu Pahat, Pontian, Kulai and Johor Bahru). — Bernama
